Zakim Bridge is one of the sights that we believe everyone visiting Boston should see. It is ranked 9th in the World’s Top Ten Bridges list, compiled by the Travel Channel, but aside from that, it is located next to the North Bank Pedestrian Bridge that connects North Point Park to an under bridge landscape decorated with a series of lighting-based public artworks.
In preparation for the shoot I went to explore the bridge. Sharp geometric shapes and repetitive lines inspired me to look for designers that “specialized” in bold prints and created a geometric perfection rather than pretty clothing. I found Peter Pilotto.
For this look, I paired a pleated and flared Peter Pilotto skirt with mirrored ladder print, and a matching Peter Pilotto shirt from their Resort 2014 collection, to create a resemblance between the bridge and the outfit. When choosing shoes I looked for repetitive details and sharp edges just like the skirt and the shirt. I decided to wear Prada, gladiator-inspired leather heels with crisscrossed laces. To complement the outfit, as well as the sky, I wore a cobalt blue Club Monaco jacket and a marine Valentino rockstud flap clutch. Finally, to complete the outfit I wore Bite Beauty Cashmere Lip Cream: Crianza.
Special thanks to Celsa C., a talented Boston-based make-up artist.
